Sound Ball - Large Model

This pretty wooden ball with a refined design helps to develop a child's auditory and sensory-motor sense. It is a natural object that invites it to be shaken, rolled and explored by all the senses! We imagined this object in order to stimulate and develop the first musical gestures of the toddler. Behind the minimalist design is above all an educational objective: available in 3 variants, the tone (or sound) varies according to the filling but the shape and the visual of the object remain unchanged in order to meet the famous educational criterion “a single cognitive difficulty per activity” proposed by Maria Montessori. By manipulating the object and playing, the child will refine his keen ear, his concentration being solely on the sound. Just like the cylinder shaker and the JINGLA rattle, this object refers to Montessori geometric solids. Thus, by manipulating the sound ball, baby will be introduced to the geometry of volumes and will develop his stereognosic sense.
